Dr. Sydney is thrilled to be a part of the Children’s Dental Care team! She is passionate about providing exceptional care to children of all ages and believes that each dental visit should be a positive, enjoyable experience. Dr. Sydney’s approach is centered around meeting each child’s needs. She emphasizes patient and parent education, along with preventative care techniques, all aimed at promoting excellent dental health from an early age. She is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment where every patient feels comfortable and cared for. Dr. Sydney loves getting to know her patients and their families. She is sure to greet them with a friendly smile and is always excited to hear what’s new in their lives!
Education and Professional Activities
Dr. Sydney earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Minnesota and then went on to complete a residency program and Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. During her residency, Dr. Sydney gained extensive training in pediatric care for children with special health care needs in hospital settings. Providing the absolute best dental care for all children has always been a passion of hers!
Dr. Sydney takes pride in volunteering for the Special Olympics and Give Kids a Smile events. She also is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and Minnesota Dental Association (MDA).
Beyond the Office
Dr. Sydney was born and raised in Mankato, MN and was very excited to return back to nearer to home after her residency training. She currently lives in Edina, MN with her husband Derek. In her free time, Dr. Sydney enjoys visiting family, skiing, boating and traveling to explore new places & cuisines! Dr. Sydney is a huge Minnesota sports fan and loves to cheer on all of our teams - SKOL!
